Background

Born in Halifax County, Virginia. Admitted to the Virginia State Bar, 1963. Admitted to practice before all Virginia courts, the Tax Court, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Member, Virginia House of Delegates, 1983-1987. Chesterfield Health Center Commissioner, 1993-2001. He has an AV Preeminent rating, the highest rating that can be awarded in the Martindale-Hubbell directory of lawyers and law firms.
